Amy Schumer ziet af van emigratie nu Trump heeft gewonnen

Dat Amy Schumer naar Spanje zou verhuizen als Donald Trump tot president zou worden gekozen, was maar een grapje. Dat zegt de comedian nu de The Apprentice-presentator daadwerkelijk president van Amerika wordt.

Op Instagram liet Amy woensdag weten dat ze niet van plan is de Verenigde Staten te verlaten. Sterker nog, ze vindt landgenoten die dat wel doen 'even verwerpelijk als de mensen die hebben gekozen voor deze racistische, homofobe, openlijk respectloze vrouwenmisbruiker.'

In de post schreef de Inside Amy Schumer-ster dat haar hart 'in een miljoen stukjes' gebroken is na de verkiezingsuitslag. Ze plaatste er een foto van Donald Trump bij die na zijn verkiezing viral ging. Op het beeld is een quote te lezen waarin hij Republikeinen dom noemt. Die uitspraak deed hij nooit, wat Amy aan het eind van haar betoog erkent. 'Ik weet dat de quote nep is maar dat maakt niet uit'.

Amy deed de emigratie-uitspraak in september in een interview met de BBC. 'Mijn act zou aangepast moeten worden, want ik zou Spaans moeten praten omdat ik naar Spanje verhuis', antwoordde ze op de vraag wat ze zou doen als Trump de presidentsverkiezing zou winnen.
