Pamela Anderson is in tranen om het overlijden van Hugh Hefner. De Canadees-Amerikaanse actrice deelde op Instagram een video waarin ze met betraand gezicht afscheid neemt van de roemruchte Playboy-baas.

'Vaarwel Hef', fluistert de in negligé gehulde oud-Playmate. 'Je leerde mij alles over vrijheid en respect', schrijft ze bij het emotionele filmpje. 'Buiten mijn familie was je de belangrijkste persoon in mijn leven. Alles wat iedereen leuk aan me vindt, is vanwege jou. Jij begreep me en spoorde me aan om mezelf te zijn. Je was charmant, elegant en ik heb zoveel met je mogen lachen'.

Pamela's carrière als model en actrice is onlosmakelijk verbonden met Playboy. De Baywatch-actrice brak in 1989 door toen ze voor het eerst op de omslag van het blootblad prijkte en is met vijftien 'covershoots' nog altijd recordhoudster. In januari 2016 stond ze model voor de laatste Amerikaanse editie van Playboy waarin het blad nog blote vrouwen zou laten zien. Dat besluit werd eerder dit jaar teruggedraaid.

In de jaren negentig vertoefde Pamela bovendien in de roemruchte villa van Hugh Hefner, de Playboy Mansion.
